MILogin For Third Party Login (2024)

MILogin is the state of Michigan Identity Management solution that allows users the ability to access many state services and systems online, across multiple departments, using a single user ID and password. If you have one MEIS account linked to multiple agencies, you must create one MILogin for Third Party account and it will link to all your agencies.

If you have multiple MEIS accounts, you must create multiple MILogin for Third Party accounts and link them each separately. Multiple MILogin for Third Party accounts can be associated to one email address.

What is MILogin For Third Party?

MILogin For Third Party is defined as individuals who access State of Michigan applications but do not have State of Michigan network access and are not employees or contractors for the State of Michigan.

For example, if you currently access CHAMPS, MCIR, MDOS eServices (CARS), MiBridges, MiSACWIS, Michigan Treasury Online (MTO), or any of the other business online services and applications, they are all leveraging MILogin accounts. Please use your user ID and password from those systems to log into the MILogin portal, instead of creating a new account.

NOTE: Accessing E-Dockets through MILogin is a two-part process. You will first create a MILogin account (PART 1). From within the account you create, you will then be able to request access to the E-Dockets database (PART 2).

MILogin For Third Party Login

The MILogin For Third Party is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for individuals who access State of Michigan applications but do not have State of Michigan network access and are not employees or contractors for the State of Michigan.

You need a User ID and password to use the MILogin For Third Party portal Services online. Those who are already familiar with the account registration process can proceed ahead by entering the login credentials, including a unique ID and password to access their personal accounts within a few seconds.

To access the MILogin For Third Party Login page, enter https://milogintp.michigan.gov into your browser and provide the user ID and password you just created. Click “Login.” If you now see your home page, you have successfully logged in. If you are a new user, click on “Sign Up” to create a MILogin For Third Party account.

Requesting Access to GEMS/MARS

Once you have created your MiLogin account, or if you previously had one, you can request access to any of the MDE systems that currently use MEIS as the login portal. From your MILogin homepage click on “Request Access”.

You will be taken to the “Request Access” screen. On this screen, you will need to select MDE from the dropdown list.

Select the MDE system you want to request access to from the list of available systems. You will pick: Grant Electronic Monitoring System / Michigan Administrative Review System (GEMS/MARS).

Once the system refreshes, review the Terms & Conditions page, click the I agree radio button, then click the Request Access button.

The next page is Additional Information page. The system automatically prepopulates the information from your MILogin Profile page. Please review for accuracy, then click the Submit button.

After following the instructions above, a successful submission will end in a Confirmation screen. Now Click on Home button to be taken to the home page of your MILogin account. From this page:

• Logout of MILogin
• Log back in
• Once signed in, you should see the access to GEMS/MARS listed. This may take a few minutes and you will have to log out/back in to see any changes.
• Going forward, you will only use this link to open up GEMS/MARS.

PLEASE NOTE: MILogin can react differently with different browsers. If you logged out and logged back in and do not see the MEIS account link option, please close all browser windows and tabs before logging back in to MILogin.

Linking MEIS Accounts and MILogin for Third Party Accounts

Step 1: Click on the HOME tab. You can copy this link to your browser to log in back. https://milogintp.michigan.gov/eai/tplogin/authenticate?URL=/

Step 2: Choose “Michigan Department of Education (MDE)” from the Select Agencies dropdown menu on the right.

Step 3: Choose Michigan Education Information System (MEIS) from the dropdown menu options on the left.

Step 4: Check that you agree to the Terms & Conditions.

Step 5: Click the REQUEST ACCESS button.

Step 6: Verify that your information is correct.

Step 7: Click the SUBMIT button.

Step 8: You will see a Confirmation page that looks like this.

Step 9: Logout of MILogin for Third Party and then log back in. You can copy this link to your browser to log in back. https://milogintp.michigan.gov/eai/tplogin/authenticate?URL=/. When you return to your MILogin for Third Party home screen you should see the new system added to your list of MDE systems selections.

Step 10: If you don’t have the link, double check your email for a system generated email confirming your access. If you don’t have a confirmation, email you will need to repeat the steps above.

Step 11: Please Note: MILogin for Third Party can react differently with different browsers. If you logged out and logged back in and do not see the MEIS account link option, close all browser windows and tabs before logging back in to MILogin. If you continue to have difficulties, contact the DTMB Client Service Center: 877- 932-6424.

Step 12: Click that you Acknowledge/Agree to the Terms & Conditions.

Step 13: Enter your MEIS account Login Name and current password.

Step 14: Check the system agreement checkbox.

Step 15: Click the Link Account button.

PLEASE NOTE: If you do not enter the correct MEIS Login and Password after five consecutive tries you will be locked out for 20 minutes. If you are unsure of your MEIS password please visit www.Michigan.gov/MEIS, click the MEIS logo and scroll down to reset your MEIS password.

Step 16: Receive MEIS Welcome page upon successful linking of accounts. This confirmation page will note the MILogin for Third Party Username linked to the specific MEIS account.

NOTE: If you linked an account and attempt to link the same account again, the system will give you the following message, noting the MILogin User ID that has already been linked.
